Description
Agricultural funding according to the Federal Service Directive is aimed at agricultural chambers, legal entities, associations of persons as well as companies and public institutions in Upper Austria. The goal is to strengthen agricultural and forestry structures through grants for investments as well as personnel and material costs. Eligible projects include agricultural consulting and education, organic farming, processing, marketing and market development, innovations, agricultural technology, crop production, seed management, and quality improvement in animal husbandry. Furthermore, the directive supports the consolidation of existing farms. The funding rate varies between 40% and 100% depending on the measure; applications can be submitted annually by October 31 of the year preceding the funding year.
Only eligible expenses for investments, personnel, and material resources are funded. A prerequisite is the annual submission of an application regardless of the project duration, the preparation of a usage report by March 31 of the following year at the latest, as well as proof of professional and pedagogical qualifications of all funded consulting and teaching staff. For submission, a fully completed funding application, payment and usage evidence, and qualification certificates must be provided. The administration is carried out by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry at the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government. The funding enables innovative projects as well as educational and consulting services to be implemented efficiently, thereby securing the competitiveness and sustainable development of the agricultural sector in Upper Austria in the long term.
