Funding by the Savings Banks Foundation for Youth and Sport

The Sparkassen Foundation for Youth and Sports, based in Freiberg, supports non-profit initiatives and clubs throughout the district of Central Saxony that are committed to children and young people. The foundation purposefully supports project proposals in the areas of child and youth welfare, education, general and vocational training, as well as sports. Particular focus is placed on youth initiatives aimed at strengthening social skills, preventive and education-oriented measures, as well as the acquisition of sports equipment and the optimization of training conditions. Through its continuous funding activities, the foundation enables sustainable impulses for local educational and sports offerings and thus makes an important contribution to strengthening voluntary engagement on site.

Only non-profit organizations, clubs, and educational institutions with headquarters or a primary area of activity in Central Saxony are eligible for funding. A clear project relation to youth, education, training, or sports is a prerequisite. Eligible expenses include, in particular, sports equipment, training supplies, and offerings in the field of educational and preventive measures. Applications can be submitted at any time and are granted as non-repayable grants. The Sparkassen Foundation for Youth and Sports addresses sports clubs, youth initiatives, and educational providers who wish to sustainably expand their offerings for children and young people. With its assets of approximately 1.6 million euros, the foundation makes a significant contribution to actively promoting the quality of life, educational opportunities, and athletic development of young people in Central Saxony.
