Support for Teaching

In the state of Carinthia, a statewide funding program offers targeted grants to support expenses or projects at general compulsory and private schools. The subsidies can be used for material resources, professional training, educational innovation initiatives, or school events. Thanks to the ongoing submission process without fixed deadlines, project-related funding is possible at any time. As a discretionary decision by Department 6 – Education and Sports of the Office of the Carinthian State Government, the grants contribute to improving educational quality and sustainably anchoring creative learning models. As part of the state initiatives in the field of education and training, this instrument has provided sustainable support since 2017. The unlimited duration allows school authorities long-term project planning and implementation.

Eligible for funding are public institutions as well as other providers operating general compulsory or private schools in the state of Carinthia. For the application, a written request and a detailed project description are required. The project description should transparently present the scope, objectives, timeline, and budget plan to support the discretionary decision. The amount of the grant is based on actual expenses and the available total budget. Applicants benefit from a straightforward procedure and usually receive feedback on the funding approval within a few weeks. After a positive approval, verification is carried out based on original receipts. Transparent cost presentation facilitates processing and enables prompt disbursement.
