Description

The program offers continuously available grant funding from the state of Salzburg for private individuals, interest groups, associations, and non-profit organizations based in the state of Salzburg. Projects in development cooperation aimed at sustainably combating poverty and strengthening the self-reliance of those affected are supported. Particular emphasis is placed on a high degree of participation of the target groups, while gender aspects and a clear connection to Salzburg are preferably considered. Through the funding, civil society activities are to be supported, empowerment processes promoted, and long-term sustainable structures established.

For an application, a detailed project description according to the official forms is required. In addition, a detailed cost and financing plan as well as information on involved project partners, the location, and the timeframe of implementation must be submitted. A prerequisite for approval is a positive evaluation by the development policy advisory board of the Salzburg state government. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no fixed deadline. The grant is disbursed in advance upon approval; after project completion, a report and accounting must be submitted.
