Description
Funding for women-related topics and projects in Burgenland is aimed at non-profit associations, interest groups, and other organizations that operate by and for women. The Department for Women, Anti-Discrimination, and Equal Treatment of the State of Burgenland grants non-repayable subsidies for initiatives, events, and projects with an emancipatory character. In addition to strengthening the promotion of women, actions for raising awareness, counseling, self-help groups, and research projects are supported. Applications can be submitted continuously and have been open indefinitely since 18.12.2013. Applicants must demonstrate a substantial financial basis before the start of the project and guarantee that subsidy funds are used exclusively for the applied project. Liability for defaults, deficit coverage, and debt servicing are excluded from funding.
The focus of the funding is the active equality of women and men through the elimination of existing injustices as well as the visibility of women's achievements in the economy, health, politics, and finance. Contributions to the implementation of the gender mainstreaming strategy in Burgenland are particularly welcomed. For the application, in addition to the official funding request, a detailed project description, a financing plan, as well as cost estimates and quotes must be submitted. Careful documentation and proof of all expenses are required to ensure the designated use of funds. The state administration guarantees prompt and service-oriented processing of all matters to effectively support committed initiatives by and for women.
