Description

The program supports Upper Austrian Climate Alliance municipalities and Climate Alliance schools in measures to reduce greenhouse gases and adapt to climate change. Funding is provided particularly for awareness-raising activities as well as small-scale, energy-saving projects within the framework of the BONUS incentive model for schools. Eligible to apply are, in addition to the Climate Alliance municipalities themselves, municipal organizations acting on behalf of the municipality, non-profit associations, organizations, and educational institutions, provided that written consent from the respective Climate Alliance municipality is available. The grant can be applied for at any time for projects of any scale that are aligned with the objectives of the Upper Austrian Climate Alliance. The duration of the measure is twelve months from the confirmation of funding.

A complete application must be submitted before the start of activities. Requirements include the placement of the “Climate Rescue” and “State of Upper Austria” logos in sufficiently large format, intensive involvement of the target groups on site, as well as the public accessibility of the project results. Accounting must also be completed within twelve months. Supporting documents include the application form of the State of Upper Austria, a final accounting sheet listing the actual expenses, and a project report with sample copies (e.g., brochures, photos). There is no legal entitlement to funding. The responsible authority is the Directorate for Environment and Water Management of the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government.
