Description

The official funding initiative in Upper Austria is aimed at professional artists, artistic photographers, and architects who wish to realize or continue contemporary projects in the fields of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and architecture. As a grant program without fixed submission deadlines, it allows for individual planning of exhibitions, publications, installations, and architectural interventions throughout the entire state. A prerequisite for funding is alignment with the objectives of the Upper Austrian Cultural Guideline, compliance with the Cultural Funding Act, as well as the General Funding Guidelines of the state. Selection is based on cultural policy principles and the suitability of the project to the regional profile, in order to provide sustainable impulses for cultural diversity.

For the application, a fully completed and signed funding form, a detailed project description, and a precise cost calculation with a financing plan must be submitted. For annual programs, a legally binding financial statement from the previous year supplements the documents. The responsible Department of Culture continuously reviews all submitted applications; a positive funding decision offers scope for creative development and public visibility. The open-ended submission mode allows the project progress and budget to be flexibly adapted to current needs. With this funding, the state of Upper Austria contributes to sustainably strengthening artistic quality and innovative capacity in the fields of visual arts, photography, and architecture.
