Description
Funding in the field of wind music in Styria supports clubs, interest groups, non-profit organizations, and private individuals in sustainably maintaining and further developing traditional and contemporary wind music. The focus is primarily on youth education, the purchase and proper repair of instruments, the procurement of sheet music and IT equipment, as well as the expansion and renovation of music homes. Furthermore, it enables the renewal of traditional costumes and uniforms, promotes professional training and further education, and facilitates participation in international competitions and festivals. The goal is to strengthen active musicians and especially emerging talents, and to secure the diversity of the regional wind music scene in the long term.
Funding applications can be submitted continuously, but always before the project begins, via the online form in the folk culture section of the Styrian Wind Music Association. A prerequisite is that the project has a clear connection to Styria and complies with the guidelines of the Styrian Wind Music Association. Eligible expenses include youth projects, instrument costs, sheet music and IT acquisitions, construction measures on music homes, clothing and training expenses, as well as travel costs for international performances. The funding guidelines, the online form, an information sheet, an income/expense statement, and a list of receipts must be attached to the application. A final report must be submitted within three months after the completion of the project. Information is provided by Department 9 Culture, Europe, External Relations of the Styrian Provincial Government in Graz.
