Description
The funding in the field of wind music supports the sustainable maintenance and further development of the wind music landscape in Styria. The primary focus is on qualified youth education, with financial support provided for training and continuing education measures, specialized workshops, as well as participation in national and international competitions. Furthermore, investments in musical infrastructure are facilitated: the purchase and repair of instruments, acquisition of sheet music, and modernization of music clubhouses can be subsidized with a grant, as can the procurement and renewal of traditional costumes and uniforms. The goal of this funding initiative is to strengthen ensembles of all age groups and to make the musical tradition in the region sustainable for the future.
Eligible to apply are non-profit interest groups, associations, and private individuals based in Styria who are members of the Styrian Wind Music Association. In addition to youth education, expenses for IT equipment, renovation of clubhouses, and participation fees for festivals and competitions are also funded. An informal online application is processed through the Styrian Wind Music Association, with the submission of a proof of use required no later than three months after the project’s completion. The grant is provided as a direct subsidy and can be applied for continuously. Through this, the Styrian Provincial Government makes an important contribution to keeping musical traditions alive and providing future generations with a professional development platform.
