Funding objective
Funding of monument preservation measures aimed at the conservation of historical objects and building fabric as well as historical cultural heritage in Upper Austria. This includes the preservation of valuable architectural and archaeological monuments, field and small monuments, cultural landscape and façade initiatives within the framework of townscape maintenance, as well as monument preservation measures at World Heritage sites.

Funding requirements
- Compliance with the Upper Austrian Cultural Guiding Principles, the Upper Austrian Cultural Promotion Act, the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria, the General Funding Principles of the Department of Culture, as well as the Funding Guidelines for Monument and Townscape Preservation
- Application must be submitted before the start of the planned measures

Description
This funding program supports monument conservation measures in Upper Austria to secure the historical stock of valuable architectural and archaeological monuments as well as cultural assets in the long term. The focus is on the preservation and restoration of objects in the fields of buildings and monument protection as well as infrastructure & urban development. Funding is provided, among other things, for field and small monuments, cultural landscape and façade initiatives within the framework of local heritage preservation, as well as conservation work on World Heritage sites. Applications can be submitted continuously and must be submitted before the planned measures commence. Recipients from private individuals, non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions can benefit from the funding to preserve historical substance in urban and rural areas.
Eligible for funding are owners and operators of listed buildings and properties seeking a grant procedure. A prerequisite is compliance with the Upper Austrian Cultural Guiding Principles, the Upper Austrian Cultural Funding Act, and the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria. For the application, a fully completed and signed funding form, a detailed cost breakdown or cost estimate, a coherent financing plan, and in the case of listed objects, the decision of the Federal Monuments Office are required. For non-listed objects, additional documents must be submitted to document the monument character. Interested project managers are encouraged to carefully observe the formal requirements and deadlines and to submit their documents on time to ensure prompt processing and funding of monument conservation projects.
