Description

The funding initiative in the field of film, video, and media art in Tyrol supports artistically and culturally oriented initiatives through various grant models. Both annual subsidies for institutions and work scholarships for filmmakers and media artists are funded. In addition, acquisitions of works, the development of screenplays and concepts, as well as the production of artistic film projects are eligible for funding. Cultural events and festivals in the state of Tyrol also receive financial resources to sustainably strengthen the local sector and promote exchange between cultural institutions and creative professionals. Eligible applicants include, in addition to private individuals, non-profit organizations, companies, educational institutions, public bodies, and start-ups actively engaged in the aforementioned fields.

Applications can be submitted at any time, as the funding opportunity is ongoing. The basis is the provisions of the Tyrolean Cultural Funding Act (§ 7 TFKG) and the Cultural Funding Guidelines (§ 3 KFR). Eligible expenses include project development, production costs, acquisition and procurement costs, scholarship expenses, as well as event costs. To apply, a fully completed form including biographical information, work samples (e.g., DVDs, screenplays), a detailed project description, as well as a precise budget and financing plan are required. Additional information on funding monitoring, accounting templates, and legal foundations are available in the form of information sheets and forms. The Department of Culture of the State of Tyrol manages and supervises the funding and accompanies the allocation and proper use of funds until the final proof of use is submitted.
