Description
Within the framework of the funding in the field of music provided by the State of Upper Austria, musicians, music groups, and musical institutions are supported in their artistic endeavors. These grants enable projects, concerts, rehearsal phases, or institutional annual programs that are in accordance with the Upper Austrian Cultural Funding Act and the Upper Austrian Cultural Guiding Principles. With this measure, the state government contributes to securing the musical diversity of the federal state and equally promoting innovative sound projects as well as traditional forms of expression. The subsidies are provided as one-time grants in reasonable proportion to the total costs. Funding is continuously available – applications can be submitted at any time since April 1, 2016. Depending on the planned measures, individual projects or regular programs may be considered.
Funding is granted to private and public legal entities, ranging from individuals to associations and non-profit organizations, as well as companies and educational institutions with headquarters or a strong operational focus in Upper Austria. The basis for a positive decision, in addition to the regional connection, is compliance with the Upper Austrian Cultural Guiding Principles, the Cultural Funding Act, the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria, and the specific funding criteria. Excluded are expenses such as non-purpose-bound costs, taxes and public charges (except for payroll-related costs), legal and notary fees, dunning charges, interest, representation costs, as well as items already covered by insurance. The application requires a fully completed and personally signed funding form, a detailed project description, a precise cost calculation with a coherent financing plan, and – for annual programs – the legally binding financial statement of the previous year. Additional documents may be required depending on the funding category and must be submitted within the deadline.
