Description
The funding in the environmental sector supports associations, interest groups, and companies based in Vienna in the implementation of projects and educational measures that make a demonstrable contribution to the sustainable development of society as well as to the protection of nature and the environment. Projects in the areas of environmental and nature conservation, education for sustainable development, energy efficiency & climate protection, as well as training and further education, are eligible for funding. As a non-repayable grant, applications can be submitted continuously – provided that the application is made before the project starts and the applicants possess the necessary professional expertise and resources. The program is budget-independent and guarantees a long-term funding perspective without a deadline for submission.
For the application, applicants must meet fundamental requirements in accordance with the General Framework Guidelines for the Granting of Funding from Federal Funds (ARR 2014). These include, among other things, the submission of association statutes, non-objection certificates, board lists, signature samples, extracts from the association or commercial register, as well as information on the legal form, business purpose, and founding. Additionally, current annual financial statements, performance reports, evidence of VAT liability, and information on pending enforcement, bankruptcy, or settlement proceedings must be provided. Through this structured review process, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism ensures transparent and legally compliant allocation. The funding offers an attractive opportunity to sustainably realize innovative environmental projects and educational initiatives, thereby providing valuable impetus for climate protection and societal transformation.
