Description

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism offers ongoing grant funding in Vienna for projects related to the energy transition, particularly supporting awareness-raising measures. The aim is to assist stakeholders from business, the non-profit sector, the public sector, and private initiatives in designing innovative campaigns, thereby strengthening public awareness of climate protection and energy efficiency. Funding is available to companies, non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, as well as private individuals. From April 1, 2025, applications can be submitted without a fixed deadline. The budget is not limited, allowing a wide range of eligible projects to be realized.

Applications require a written funding request including a performance plan, schedule, and a cost and financing plan. Evaluation criteria include public interest, the professional qualifications of the applicants, cost appropriateness, project feasibility, and incentive effect. Funding is provided for any service that demonstrably contributes to the energy transition and education for sustainable development. Interested project leaders benefit from a transparent legal framework (ARR 2014) and an uncomplicated process. Thanks to the program’s openness, diverse activities can be implemented – from information campaigns and workshops to interactive online formats. The funding invites creative approaches to energy issues and encourages collaboration with experts and society to shape the path toward a climate-neutral future.
