Description

The City of Vienna – Education and Youth (MA 13) supports non-profit organizations based in Vienna that have been offering instrumental and vocal training or elementary music education for at least three years. The purpose of the funding is to provide substantive and regional supplementation to the existing offerings of the municipal music schools for the duration of one school year. Only projects that would not be feasible without financial support, have a direct connection to the Vienna city area, and serve the public interest are eligible for funding. Eligible costs include fees for qualified educational personnel as well as overhead costs of up to 7% of personnel expenses. The measure aims to provide low-threshold access to music education, promote alternative forms of delivery, and contribute to enhancing the cultural common good. The use of gender-neutral and non-discriminatory didactics is required, as is adherence to ethical principles and a protection concept for children and youth.

The application for the upcoming school year must be submitted online by March 31. It includes a standardized form for income and expenditure statements, a factual report on the project progress, a declaration of consent to the funding guidelines with ID Austria signature or signature, copies of official photo IDs, and proof of non-profit status (association statutes, register excerpt). Newly applying institutions must also submit a current annual financial statement or an asset overview. After a positive review by MA 13, a funding contract will be concluded and the payment made in one or more installments. The organizations document the use of funds in a final report and ensure transparent accounting. Failure to comply with the funding conditions may result in revocation and repayment of the funds.
