FIB GmbH, a subsidiary of the Investment and Structural Bank Rhineland-Palatinate, supports Rhineland-Palatinate SMEs in the development and market launch of new products, processes, or services, as well as in the sustainable creation and securing of competitive permanent jobs.

Description

The Fund for Innovation and Employment supports small and medium-sized manufacturing, craft, and service companies in Rhineland-Palatinate through silent or open participations with venture capital. The goal is to promote technology-oriented projects as well as labor-intensive initiatives that lead to the development and market introduction of new products, processes, or services. Financing is generally provided between €100,000 and €500,000 per project and can, in exceptional cases, amount to up to €1 million. Essential requirements include the provision of equity or equity-like funds equal to the requested participation (capital parity) as well as the implementation of the project at a site in Rhineland-Palatinate. Labor-intensive projects must create at least ten competitive permanent jobs.

The selection is based on the innovativeness of the project and the expected employment effect. Applications can be submitted at any time to the Investment and Structural Bank Rhineland-Palatinate. With this instrument, the subsidiary of the ISB makes a valuable contribution to strengthening the competitiveness of regional SMEs and sustainably securing future-proof jobs.
