The Research Funding of Carinthian University supports institutes of the Alpen Adria University Klagenfurt in scientific projects with a clear connection to Carinthia. As a direct grant funded from state resources, this program is aimed at educational institutions engaged in the fields of research & innovation as well as science. Due to continuous submission opportunities, funding applications can be submitted at any time, enabling flexible planning and timely implementation of research activities. The Carinthian State Government – Department 6 Education and Sport – manages and coordinates the funding process and accompanies the institutes from application to final accounting. A prerequisite for funding is a positive funding approval for the execution of the project and proof of a clear connection to Carinthia. Prior to submission, a university research commission reviews the quality and relevance of the planned projects. Upon approval, the funding amount is disbursed as a grant; the final proof of use is provided by submitting the original invoices corresponding to the granted sum.
