Research Projects

The B. Braun Foundation supports innovative research projects in healthcare throughout Germany and provides financial grants to scientists and research institutions. Eligible applicants include educational institutions, public entities, and non-profit organizations pursuing pioneering initiatives in the fields of research & innovation, science, health, as well as labor & social affairs. Continuously open submission deadlines allow for flexible planning and spontaneous applications at any time of the year. The aim of the funding is to strengthen scientific excellence and to gain practice-relevant insights for improving the quality of care and developing new treatment approaches.

Funded projects include, among others, multidisciplinary studies on infection prevention, analyses of chronic diseases, and innovative methods in patient-centered care. The B. Braun Foundation places great emphasis on evidence-based approaches developed and empirically tested within interprofessional teams. Through financial support, sustainable networks between clinics, science, and industry are to be established, promoting knowledge transfer and further collaborations.
