Research Fellowships of the Abtei Heisterbach Foundation

The Abtei Heisterbach Foundation promotes targeted research projects in North Rhine-Westphalia with ongoing grants for the scientific study of the history of the former Heisterbach Abbey. The aim is to support cultural-historical as well as monument preservation-related issues in the fields of science, research & innovation, architecture and monument protection, culture, infrastructure & urban development, as well as culture & media, thereby strengthening awareness of this significant cultural heritage. By awarding research fellowships, detailed investigations, editorial and publication projects, as well as digital documentation initiatives are enabled, contributing to the preservation and communication of this unique ensemble of monuments. Eligible for funding are private individuals, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations that submit a well-founded project description and focus thematically on Heisterbach Abbey. Continuous submissions are possible, as there are no fixed deadlines.
