Description
The Barbara Schadeberg Foundation offers an ongoing funding program, “Continuing Education and Science,” for Protestant educational institutions and private individuals in Germany and Europe. With grants of up to €10,000, it supports advanced training and further education measures for executives, teachers, and specialist teams, as well as scientific projects and publications that serve the profile and school development at Protestant schools and boarding schools. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, public educational institutions, and private individuals, provided that the projects are implemented in accordance with Protestant education and upbringing. Application requirements include compliance with the funding guidelines, an appropriate personal contribution (at least 30% for digital projects), and a current tax exemption certificate from the tax office. Funding is provided primarily for costs related to training, research projects, and publications; construction projects and employment relationships are excluded.
Selection is based on clear evaluation criteria: contribution to school development, sharpening of the Protestant profile, networking of Protestant schools, and quality of the research concept. Interested project sponsors may submit an online funding application with a PDF project description at any time. Apart from documents such as the tax exemption certificate, no further personal contact details are required. Through this funding, sustainable and future-oriented teaching and profiling approaches at Protestant schools are established in the long term, and the network of Protestant educational institutions is strengthened. The focus of this continuously available grant opportunity is on strengthening religious education topics and the quality development of teaching.
