Description

The funding program of the Bavarian State Ministry for Health, Care and Prevention is aimed at non-profit associations, interest groups, and public institutions in Bavaria that wish to train volunteer helpers as well as relatives of individuals with addiction disorders. The goal is to impart addiction-specific expertise to strengthen the care and psychosocial support of people with dependency disorders. Applications can be submitted at any time, as ongoing funding opportunities exist. The grant is provided in the form of a subsidy with a funding rate of up to 90% of eligible expenses. For each training unit (45 minutes), €50 is provided, with a required co-payment of 10% of the total costs.

Eligible expenses include room rental, speaker fees, travel costs, and materials. Applicants must submit a detailed training program listing all planned events with topics, conception, learning objectives, working methods, duration, organization, target group, participation requirements, planned number of participants, as well as measures for quality assurance. The responsible district government reviews initial and follow-up applications professionally and forwards them with a recommendation to the State Ministry. This structured funding ensures that volunteer offerings are continuously developed and conducted at a high professional level to guarantee sustainable support for those affected and their relatives.
