Description
The Handschrift Foundation – Promotion of Writing e. V. offers the Forum Schreiben, a nationwide open platform that enables teachers of all school types to network with each other, systematically record findings from research and pedagogy on handwriting, and jointly develop solution approaches. As a continuously funded online service, this initiative is exclusively aimed at individuals employed in the teaching profession and is supported in the form of a non-repayable grant. Interested parties can easily secure their participation at any time via a registration form available on the website and immediately gain access to current specialist articles as well as discussion forums. The thematic range of the offering extends from didactic impulses for promoting writing competence to ergonomic tips and scientific findings that underscore the importance of handwritten learning.
The primary goal of this funding measure is to intensify dialogue among teachers and thereby sustainably improve the legibility and expressive ability of students. Through interdisciplinary exchange in moderated working groups, practical concepts are developed that promote handwriting acquisition up to the end of primary school and furthermore strengthen learners’ reflective abilities. Additionally, the foundation invites writing experts to share their expertise in webinars and online publications. Participation in the forum is possible at any time and requires only proof of teaching activity. In doing so, this offering makes an important contribution to improving the quality of school writing processes and complements existing training opportunities in the fields of education and professional development.
