Description
Women's sports promotion in the sense of gender mainstreaming serves to specifically strengthen women as officials or coaches in Tyrolean sports. Non-profit organizations in Tyrol – especially sports clubs as well as umbrella and specialized sports associations that are members of an association recognized by the Tyrolean State Sports Council – can apply for a grant for training and further education measures. Funding is provided for training in recognized sports, whose course concepts are precisely presented in terms of content and hours. The goal is to reduce existing disadvantages for women and to sustainably anchor equality in leadership and supervisory roles in grassroots sports. The allocation is made within the framework of the funding guidelines according to § 7 of the Tyrolean Sports Promotion Act 2006, financed by the State of Tyrol and 50% by municipalities required to contribute.
Interested organizations must submit the announcement of the respective training or further education via the annual application form. Application deadline: annually by August 31 (deadlines according to the decision of the State Sports Council on the forms). The grant is earmarked for course costs and fees. By imparting professional competencies, networking, and practice-tested teaching methods, new impulses for gender equality in sports are set. Thus, the funding plays a central role in promoting diversity, professionalization, and quality in the Tyrolean sports landscape – an important step towards equal participation opportunities and continuous development in organized sports.
