Description
The funding program of the state of Baden-Württemberg supports private individuals within the jurisdiction of a foreign nationals authority in Baden-Württemberg in voluntarily departing to Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, or Eritrea. With 100 percent refinancing, it aims to cover travel and transport costs, travel allowances, start-up assistance, costs for obtaining travel documents, as well as interpreter fees. Participating individuals who do not have sufficient personal funds thus receive financial support to independently organize their return to their country of origin. The program is thematically anchored in the areas of migration as well as labor & social affairs and is continuously awarded, allowing applications to be submitted at any time.
A prerequisite for approval is the jurisdiction of the responsible foreign nationals authority in Baden-Württemberg as well as the absence of personal financial means. The application is submitted via a return counseling center, which forwards it to the Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe. After review and positive decision, the organization of flight booking or cash payment is carried out by the counseling center. The application includes a completed proof of use and receipts of expenses. The funding amount is fully reimbursed upon proof of expenses; an additional application to the BAMF is not required.
