Description
With the cost-neutral grant funding from the City of Graz, volunteer fire brigades in Styria receive comprehensive support in the areas of disaster protection and work & social affairs. According to § 35 of the Styrian Fire Brigade Act, the procurement and maintenance of buildings, facilities, as well as equipment and other items are fully financed. Furthermore, administrative costs, including annual fees, are covered 100%. Since funding opportunities are continuously available, non-profit interest groups or associations – especially those volunteer fire brigades that want to ensure their operational readiness and performance according to state law – can submit applications at any time. The 100% cost coverage provides planning security and relieves the volunteer fire personnel of financial burdens.
A prerequisite for the grant is activity as a volunteer fire brigade within the meaning of the Styrian Fire Brigade Act and the use of funds exclusively for operationally relevant buildings, facilities, equipment, and administrative expenses. The funding strengthens municipal infrastructure and contributes to the long-term performance capability of the fire brigades. Thanks to the continuous application possibility, applicants can request support at any time without having to observe fixed deadlines. The unlimited validity since February 18, 2012, ensures sustainable investments in the safety of communities and promotes the commitment of all involved.
