Description
Within the framework of state funding for Early Support, Prevention, and Child Protection in Hesse, municipal and independent providers, scientific institutes, as well as local youth welfare agencies are supported in the development and implementation of projects in the areas of Early Support, Prevention, and Child Protection, as well as in the cooperation between youth welfare and healthcare. The program is aimed at the 33 eligible districts, independent cities, and special status cities, as well as associations, federations, and educational institutions in Hesse. The funding is intended to strengthen local networks, further develop existing concepts, and implement new measures that ensure reliable support for young families and sustainably promote child protection. The funding is provided as a grant and contributes to securing interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific monitoring of projects.
Up to 50% of eligible expenses are funded, with a maximum of €20,000 per project. Eligible costs include personnel and material expenses directly related to the project. Applications for Part A (Early Support), Part C (Supplementary Funding to the Federal Foundation Early Support), as well as measures in the areas of Prevention and Child Protection can be submitted annually by March 31. Projects under Parts B (Prevention and Child Protection) and D (Cooperation between Youth Welfare and Healthcare) are eligible for application throughout the year. For the application, among other documents, the application form for Parts A, B, and D, a project description, a statement from the local youth welfare office, a financing plan, a declaration regarding input tax deduction eligibility, and all documents according to the checklist must be submitted. The technical review is carried out by the Kassel Regional Council on behalf of the Hessian Ministry for Family, Seniors, Sports, Health, and Care.
