Future President Coaching – Wübben Science Foundation gGmbH

The Wübben Science Foundation gGmbH offers a one-day, free seminar in Berlin titled Future President Coaching, which specifically prepares vice presidents, pro-rectors, deans, and senior managers from academia and research for applying as president or rector. Under absolute confidentiality (Chatham House Rule), participants work in small groups—moderated by current university presidents and rectors—on five key topics: job profile, personal suitability and motivation, application strategies, strategic orientation of the university, and presentation techniques for selection interviews. The goal is to develop a clear professional perspective for the university leadership position and to set strategic directions for the next career step through role and suitability analyses as well as individual application counseling.

Participation is limited to private individuals who already hold a leadership position at a university or research institution and are considering applying for a top executive role. A brief expression of interest by email suffices as an application document; places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Travel and accommodation costs are not covered. The next seminar dates are September 11, 2026, and March 5, 2027.
