Description

The Anna Haag Foundation gGmbH supports the development of an intergenerational Garden of the Senses in Baden-Württemberg, offering seniors as well as children and adolescents with and without disabilities a diverse range of sensory and experiential opportunities. Funding is provided for balance path modules, sound and tactile elements, as well as herb and planting beds to enhance balance, dexterity, hearing, touch, as well as olfactory and taste experiences. Through the close interaction of young and old, an inclusive environment is created in which all participants can expand their perception, establish social contacts, and experience intergenerational exchange. The measure contributes to improved quality of life, inclusion, and a sense of community, and promotes the active involvement of all participants in an inspiring outdoor area.

For the realization of this project, the Anna Haag Foundation provides a one-time grant of up to €10,000. Eligible for funding are private individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations active in the fields of health, social affairs, children and youth, as well as work & social services. Applications can be submitted at any time, as ongoing funding is offered. The goal is to establish the financial basis with as many project partners as possible to gradually procure all modules and establish the garden as a permanent meeting place for intergenerational activities. This offering provides a sustainable opportunity to enable sensory experiences and to break down barriers through joint gardening, playing, and experimenting.
