Description

Since January 1, 2021, the state of Salzburg has partially or fully covered the training costs in the field of health and nursing care, thereby providing educational institutions and providers in the federal state with valuable financial relief. Eligible for funding are all institutions that conduct training and further education in the fields of health as well as work and social affairs. Within a budgeted volume of approximately €0.4 million per year, expenses for training courses can be subsidized at a funding rate of up to 100%. The continuous submission option supports flexible planning and ensures the long-term quality and diversity of nursing education in Salzburg.

A prerequisite for approval is the strict compliance with the General Guidelines for the Granting of Subsidies of the State of Salzburg; the required documents can be found in the funding guidelines. The aim of the funding is to enhance the attractiveness of nursing education in order to sustainably recruit qualified skilled workers in the healthcare sector. The ongoing application procedure enables educational providers to submit applications as needed without a fixed deadline and creates planning security. Through financial support, course capacities are expanded, modern learning environments are strengthened, and regional healthcare provision is promoted in the long term.
