Health and Nursing Care - Training Costs

The program "Health and Nursing – Training Costs" of the State of Salzburg specifically supports training institutions in the field of health and nursing care. 100% of the course fees are covered once the agreed number of participants is reached and/or a positive course completion is achieved. Institutions can submit applications at any time, as this is an ongoing funding opportunity. The goal is to strengthen the availability of high-quality nursing training throughout the state and to sustainably increase the attractiveness of nursing professions. Course participants benefit indirectly through tuition-free courses, while training institutions do not have to bear any financial expenses.

The funding is exclusively aimed at educational institutions offering training courses in health and nursing care. Expenses for course fees are subsidized, thereby removing financial barriers for prospective nursing professionals. Department 9 – Health in the Office of the Salzburg State Government finances this within the framework of "Decree 2.15 – General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding from the State of Salzburg" and provides an annual budget of €0.4 million. This investment not only ensures the quality of training but also sustainably improves healthcare provision in Salzburg. Educational institutions benefit from clear funding requirements and a 100% funding rate, significantly simplifying the planning and implementation of nursing training programs.
