Health Promotion within the Framework of Prevention for Intermediaries

The funding initiative "Health Promotion within the Framework of Prevention for Intermediaries" has been continuously supporting projects and measures in Carinthia since January 1, 2014, that strengthen preventive health processes. Funding is particularly provided for counseling and service offerings aimed at promoting a high degree of self-determination and thereby improving the long-term health of target groups. As a grant measure, this funding is directed at non-profit organizations, public and non-public institutions, as well as companies that utilize expertise and networks to implement preventive concepts locally. Submissions are possible at any time and offer flexible planning security for project sponsors in the fields of health, social affairs, and work & social affairs.

A prerequisite for a successful application is the comprehensible consideration of the fundamental principles of health prevention as well as the proper formal submission of a funding request. Department 5 – Health and Care at the Office of the Carinthian State Government manages the allocation based on discretionary decisions and final funding contracts. The requested services must clearly demonstrate how they contribute to strengthening health literacy and which target groups are reached. The continuous funding opportunities provide organizations and institutions the chance to establish sustainable prevention offerings and thus make effective contributions to public health in Carinthia.
