Health Promotion within the Framework of Prevention

The funding initiative supports projects and measures for health promotion within the framework of prevention in Carinthia. The goal is to enable people to achieve a higher degree of self-determination through appropriate methods and thus sustainably strengthen their physical and mental resilience. Grants are awarded for ideas from non-profit organizations, public and non-public institutions, private individuals, as well as companies that wish to develop and implement preventive health services. Due to the continuous submission possibility, applicants can apply for funding at any time and realize tailored concepts for primary prevention.

A prerequisite for approval is a comprehensive consideration of the basic principles of health prevention as well as a properly formatted funding application. The basis is a written application that outlines the objectives, methods, and expected effects of the project. Since there are no fixed deadlines, funding applications can be submitted at any time. Selection is made at the discretion of Department 5 – Health and Care in the Office of the Carinthian State Government, which is also responsible for budget management, guideline development, and project support. This funding opportunity is aimed at all actors in Carinthia who wish to strengthen health holistically and anchor the principle of personal responsibility within their target groups.
