Health Award of the RUFZEICHEN GESUNDHEIT Foundation!

The Health Award of the RUFZEICHEN GESUNDHEIT! Foundation is a nationwide accolade in the German healthcare sector, honoring innovative approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, therapy, and aftercare of Metabolic Syndrome with a funding amount of €25,000. Embedded within the thematic areas of Health, Research & Innovation, as well as Work & Social Affairs, the award is aimed at individuals, groups, and institutions with scientifically grounded, practice-oriented projects. Initiatives are supported whose model character and generalizability enable broad applicability to other regions or institutions. Applications require that submitted works have not been awarded elsewhere and are distinguished by clearly demonstrated scientific methodology as well as a strong practical relevance.

In the selection process, a scientific advisory board of the foundation evaluates the received applications based on established criteria: scientific approach, practical orientation, model character, transferability, and generalizability. The goal is to mobilize actors from research, medicine, and health management around the topic of Metabolic Syndrome and to promote sustainable solutions to reduce risk factors such as overweight, hypertension, lipid metabolism disorders, and elevated blood sugar levels. This award recognizes outstanding achievements and sets impulses to advance the health policy debate as well as to improve the prevention and care of patients in the long term.
