Granting of Interest Subsidies for Agricultural Construction Projects

The state of Vorarlberg supports agricultural enterprises with interest subsidies to keep construction projects feasible despite exhausted AIK funds. Funding is provided to natural persons who operate a farm in Vorarlberg on their own account and risk throughout the year and whose main income derives from agriculture and forestry. The aim of this direct funding is to facilitate investments in the new construction, conversion, or expansion of residential and agricultural buildings, thereby sustainably strengthening the future viability of agriculture and the development of rural areas. The funds are available within the framework of the Agricultural and Forestry Promotion Act (LFFG) and can be drawn without limitation, as applications may be submitted continuously.

A prerequisite for approval is the submission of a detailed financing plan including loan acquisition as well as an eligible application through the Vorarlberg Chamber of Agriculture. The actually incurred interest costs for the loan and the costs of the construction measures are funded. The uncomplicated application process at any time enables flexible planning of agricultural investments. Thus, this funding makes an important contribution to realizing innovative construction projects, practical modernizations, and needs-based expansions – thereby securing the performance and competitiveness of Vorarlberg agriculture in the long term.
