Description
The continuously open funding initiative in Vienna supports non-profit organizations in financing judicial violence prevention counseling in accordance with § 382f para. 4 EO as well as in partially covering the costs for victim protection-oriented perpetrator work with the aim of sustainably reducing violence against partners and children. By awarding grants, the program enables professionally qualified counseling for men who have committed acts of violence within the family or partnership context and promotes the development of individual assistance plans for violence prevention. Thus, the program makes an important contribution to strengthening victim protection and promoting social security in the Vienna region.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations that can demonstrate the required professional and organizational suitability and meet the general funding requirements according to the ARR 2014. Applications may be submitted by initiatives that design and implement specialized prevention services and perpetrator work for families affected by violence. Only expenses for violence prevention counseling and victim protection-oriented perpetrator work are funded, with the funding volume being unlimited. Applications can be submitted indefinitely from January 1, 2026, enabling flexible planning and implementation of prevention projects. This measure ensures equal access to preventive services and contributes to the sustainable reduction of domestic violence.
