Description

The go-international IO-VIII Internationalization Voucher in Vienna grants SMEs and large companies (for distant markets) a subsidy of up to 50% of external market entry costs. Eligible expenses include travel and consulting costs, marketing measures, participation fees for trade fairs, as well as incubator office rents for physical presence in the target country. The performance period begins on the date of application and extends over 18 months. Up to three countries can be selected per application, with a maximum funding amount of €5,000 for Europe or €10,000 for distant markets, plus a technology or sustainability bonus of €2,500. Applications can be submitted until 31 December 2026 and settled by 31 March 2027, subject to budget availability. Funding is provided under the de minimis regime and is based on the provisions of European Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2831 as well as the General Framework Guidelines for Federal Funding (ARR 2014).

Eligible applicants are active members of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber or the Chambers of Civil Engineers with their own substantial goods or services that are “new-to-market” in the selected target country. A prerequisite is proof of a coherent market entry plan and compliance with the de minimis threshold. The application includes, among other things, the detailed market entry plan, evidence for the technology or sustainability bonus, information about the consulting company, and meaningful company documents (website, brochures). The funding agency evaluates the completeness of the documents, the prospects of success of the project, and the macroeconomic benefit. Applications are submitted free of charge via the go-international funding account; the funding period ends on 31 December 2026 or upon exhaustion of funds.
