Description
The funding program supports innovative and socially innovative start-ups and young companies in Brandenburg during the growth phase, that is, within the first three years after founding or takeover. Only small companies with their main office or place of business in the state of Brandenburg are eligible, which are either freelancers or belong to one of the clusters: energy technology, health economy, ICT/media and creative industries, transport/mobility/logistics, optics/photonics, food industry, plastics/chemicals, metal, or tourism. For partnerships and corporations, at least one founder must be registered as a managing person holding between one quarter and the majority of the company shares. The self-employment activity must be carried out as the main occupation no later than one year after the start of funding, and registration in the commercial register is mandatory.
The non-repayable grant program covers up to 60% of eligible expenses, with minimum amounts of €30,000 and maximum amounts of €180,000 per funding case. The funding period is a maximum of 24 months. Eligible expenses include acquisitions of tangible fixed assets, personnel costs for new jobs and managing persons, as well as technical consulting and development services. Non-eligible expenses include, for example, land acquisition, real estate, equity participations, rental and leasing contracts, used assets, financing costs, and minor employment relationships under 20 hours. The application must be submitted via the ILB customer portal by June 30, 2027. Required documents include a precise project description, a detailed financing and business plan, proof of location and founding date, CVs of the founders, as well as proof of the innovative character.
