Description
The start-up support for Christian daycares provided by WERTESTARTER – Foundation for Christian Values Education is aimed at initiatives, committed parent and community groups, as well as non-profit limited liability companies and associations that wish to establish a value-oriented daycare center. Nationwide, the foundation offers expert start-up assistants who competently guide through legal and organizational hurdles depending on the federal state. Additionally, extensive information sheets and a practice-oriented brochure “Start-up Help 1 – We are founding a Christian daycare center” are available for download. Funding includes grants of up to €5,000; application deadlines are ongoing, and applications for amounts exceeding €5,000 can be submitted by March 1 and October 1, 2026. A prerequisite is recognition as a non-profit organization based in Germany and proof of a founding initiative for a daycare center with a Christian profile.
The aim of the funding is the professional support of parent and founder groups in conception, operational and financial planning, as well as networking with local sponsors and authorities. The foundation connects pedagogically and legally experienced experts, assists in finding suitable premises, and advises on care and staffing ratios. Thanks to the forum, founders can exchange ideas nationwide and benefit from best-practice examples.
