Description
The state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern grants a monthly start-up scholarship of €1,200 for up to 18 months to founders in the fields of engineering, natural sciences, and the creative industries, as well as a child allowance of €100 per child. The aim is to promote novel products or services with a high degree of innovation and to ensure the long-term economic success of future-oriented business ideas. Through the combination of professional and commercial support as well as financial security for living expenses, a sustainable environment is created for the market entry of innovative start-ups in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Funding is provided to natural persons aged 18 and over who, at the time of application, are either founding a new company or whose founding took place no more than twelve months prior. Requirements include, among others, the main residence and business location in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, proof of professional and commercial suitability, and a professional statement on the innovative nature of the project. Evaluation criteria particularly include the degree of innovation, the viability of the business model, professional and commercial qualifications, and the regional location. Applications can be submitted continuously until December 31, 2028; for later applications, the founding must not be older than twelve months. For the jury and application process, a business concept, a professional statement, a CV, official permits, a financing plan, and a De-minimis declaration must be submitted. The scholarship thus makes a decisive contribution to the creation of sustainable and innovative business structures in the region.
