Funding objective
The objective of the basic funding for sports umbrella organizations is to ensure professional representation of interests and services for Lower Austrian sports clubs, in particular to enable legal and administrative advisory services, training and further education, as well as the representation of interests in national and international committees.

Description
The basic funding for sports umbrella organizations in Lower Austria enables interest groups and non-profit associations to receive targeted financial support to cover their basic costs in association operations. Located within the funding area of Sports, Culture & Media, the grant partially supports expenses for fulfilling core tasks – from legal and administrative advisory services to training and further education, as well as representation in national and international committees. The aim of this support is to ensure professional service and advocacy for Lower Austrian sports clubs and thereby sustainably strengthen the umbrella organizations. The funding extends over twelve months and is calculated at a funding rate of €160 per member club.
For the application, sports umbrella organizations must submit the completed application form, the electronic attachment "Club List," as well as the statutory approved financial statement of the previous year. A wide range of eligible costs are funded – such as personnel costs in association administration, training and further education, office supplies, communication, as well as travel, representation, and insurance costs. Not considered are, among others, legal and litigation costs in internal arbitration proceedings as well as expenses already covered by other regional funding. The application must be submitted no later than three months after the start of the fiscal year; timely submission ensures full utilization of the funding volume. Interested associations are encouraged to prepare their documents promptly and make the best possible use of the available funds.
