Description
The group support for people with autism spectrum disorders in Tyrol assists non-profit organizations and public institutions in strengthening the social skills of those affected within a protected group setting. The goal is to achieve sustainable progress in communication, empathy, and self-awareness through targeted interaction and exchange among participants. Complementing individual care, the program offers a structured environment where participants can practice in role-play-like exercises, moderated discussions, and practical tasks. Ongoing funding opportunities enable flexible planning and continuous development of group offerings, which are based on current scientific findings.
Eligible for funding are providers of in-kind services specializing in the care and training of people with autism spectrum disorders. The grant covers costs for educational professionals, room rental, and materials required to conduct the group sessions. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing institutions to respond promptly to needs and implement appropriate concepts. The program promotes inclusive structures in the social sector and makes a significant contribution to participation in social life. Interested providers can find all legal bases in the Tyrolean Participation Act § 9 para. 1 and 2 lit. b as well as further information at the Department of Inclusion and Child and Youth Welfare of the State of Tyrol.
