Affordable Senior Housing in Hamburg-Winterhude is offered by the Parkheim Foundation of the Hamburg Retailers' Chamber. The goal is to create socially responsible and affordable living space for retailers aged 60 and over in the metropolitan region. The properties consist of 1–2-room historic apartments with 34–67 m² of living space, modernly equipped with double glazing, shower bathroom with WC, district heating, and intercom system. In total, the foundation manages 168 renovated units on Baumkamp, Baumtwiete, and Bussestraße, directly adjacent to Winterhude City Park. Continuous allocation allows interested parties to move into available apartments from autumn/winter 2025. Requirements include a housing entitlement certificate (§ 5), proof of at least ten years of employment in retail in the Hamburg metropolitan region, and an age between 60 and 80 years.
Applications are accepted continuously as apartments become available; the official project start is scheduled for September 1, 2025. Required documents include proof of employment, the housing entitlement certificate, and a valid ID card. The foundation emphasizes a vibrant community spirit among residents, without offering care or barrier-free facilities. This funding initiative makes an important contribution to infrastructure and social housing, specifically supporting older retail professionals and meeting housing demand in Hamburg-Winterhude. Interested parties can submit their applications and viewing requests from mid-2025 to secure a place in time.
