Description
Since 2009, the Günther Weber Foundation has annually awarded the Günther Weber Foundation Prize, recognizing outstanding projects in one of the five foundation purposes: child and youth welfare, education & upbringing, protection of marriage & family, sports, and Icelandic horse breeding/sports. Endowed with up to 10,000 euros, the prize supports sustainable initiatives that impress through innovation, long-term impact, and practical feasibility. The jury evaluates submitted projects based on their relevance to the respective foundation purpose, degree of innovation, prospects for continuation, and feasibility. The goal is to assist non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, and individuals in successfully implementing socially valuable projects and effectively reaching their target groups.
Eligible for funding are non-profit associations, educational institutions, students, project sponsors, and private individuals with a personal contribution of at least 15% of the total costs. Applications are accepted continuously via the official application form and require the submission of a project description, a financing plan, a curriculum vitae, and, if applicable, a certificate of enrollment. It is a prerequisite that the project goal corresponds to one of the foundation’s purposes and that all documents are submitted on time. The Günther Weber Foundation thus offers a continuous funding opportunity for initiatives throughout Germany that distinguish themselves through a committed concept and clear follow-up financing. Interested parties can find the application form on the foundation’s website and may apply at any time for the next award ceremony.
