Description

The participatory program gut:gehen – You Can Do More by the Walter Blüchert Foundation is aimed at primary school children from grades 2 to 4 in North Rhine-Westphalia. In small groups of up to 13 participants, 12 consecutive sessions of 90 minutes each are offered over one school semester, combining theater, dance, experiential education, and drama therapy methods. The goal is to promote self-confidence, joy of life, and key psychosocial life skills in accordance with the WHO concept. Under scientific supervision and evaluation by the Research Institute for Educational and Social Economics (FiBS), participants playfully develop skills such as self-awareness, empathy, decision-making, and stress management. Funding is provided as a grant and can be applied for continuously.

Eligible for funding are educational institutions, public bodies, and non-profit organizations that implement the program over six months. Evaluation is based on scientific supervision, age-appropriate use of methods, and group size. In addition to integrating the WHO concept, gut:gehen places special emphasis on collaboration between specialists and educational staff to achieve sustainable effects in school and everyday life. The Walter Blüchert Foundation continuously supports the project to strengthen psychosocial resources and to support children resiliently in their personal development. Inquiries regarding participation and sponsorship registrations can be made at any time.
