Description
The HALLIANZ Engagement Fund supports non-profit projects in Halle (Saale) that strengthen social cohesion, democratic participation, and a diverse culture of coexistence. Carriers such as local clubs, interest groups, and civic activists can apply for financial grants to implement formats for encounters, cultural and media offerings, as well as social initiatives. The goal is to create open dialogue spaces, address discrimination and prejudice, and promote contacts between people of different social, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Through four focus areas – diversity shaping, democracy education, engagement, and encounters – the fund supports innovative ideas that expand practical cooperation and responsibility locally. The Bürger.Stiftung.Halle, as the funding body, consolidates engagement with this program that sustainably advances social cohesion in the Saxony-Anhalt region.
Applications can be submitted continuously, provided they are received at least three working days before one of the jury dates. The jury meetings in 2026 will take place on the following dates: March 25, April 28, June 3, July 1, August 18, September 29, November 3, and December 15. Eligible for funding are organizations based in Halle (Saale) that actively promote democracy, diversity, and neighborhood encounters. Applications are submitted via the Bürger.Stiftung.Halle’s online application system. Through the continuous awarding of grants, project sponsors are supported in establishing sustainable formats that enrich coexistence in districts and neighborhoods and strengthen democratic participation locally.
