Ready for Full-time and Volunteer Engagement – Professionalizing Sports Clubs

The coaching program Hauptamt-ready and Ehrenamt-ready is aimed at non-profit sports clubs in Lower Saxony that wish to design their structures for the future and relieve volunteers. In collaboration with the start-up Klubtalent, the program offers two variants: the six-month module Ehrenamt-ready to strengthen the volunteer base and the twelve-month module Hauptamt-ready to establish a full-time position. The goal is to develop long-term strategies, implement high-quality processes, and integrate at least one full-time employee into the club’s daily operations. In this way, visions are professionally realized and committed participants are recruited for new tasks.

Eligible for funding are non-profit sports clubs with a cohesive and interested board as well as dedicated and ambitious team members. Applications can be submitted continuously, with a maximum funding amount of up to €5,000 per club supporting the coaching services provided by Klubtalent. Selection is primarily based on motivation and actual need, the quality of the developed club vision, and the clear commitment of the club leadership. To submit an application, a completed questionnaire for the application process and a project outline are required via the online form. The coaching duration varies between six and twelve months, depending on the chosen module. This offer provides Lower Saxony sports clubs with the opportunity to sustainably professionalize their internal organization and secure the continuation of active volunteer work.
