Ready for Full-time and Volunteer Work

Full-time-ready and Volunteer-ready is an ongoing funding program by the Lower Saxony Lotto Sports Foundation that offers coaching to non-profit sports clubs in Lower Saxony for the professionalization of volunteer structures and the establishment of full-time positions. In collaboration with Klubtalent, experts support the clubs over 6 months (Volunteer-ready) or 12 months (Full-time-ready) in optimizing organizational processes and assist in recruiting more qualified volunteers or setting up initial full-time jobs. Funding covers honoraria and personnel costs up to €5,000 per club to promote board relief and sustainable development. The measure aims to create lasting structures, strengthen engagement, and provide long-term relief for club work.

Eligible to participate are registered sports clubs based in Lower Saxony whose board work is united and ambitiously supports the project. To apply, an online form and a completed questionnaire for the application (EA-HA) must be submitted. During the project period of six to twelve months, realistic goals are to be defined jointly, resources effectively utilized, and refinancing options leveraged. The funding includes a co-financing requirement and is based on the size of the club. The continuous application process allows flexible planning, while the low-threshold funding amount facilitates entry into professional club management. Additionally, the offerings address key action areas such as education, digitalization, social inclusion, and rural development, and promote qualifications in sports management.
