Assistance with Debt Problems, Lower Austria

The Debt Counseling Lower Austria non-profit GmbH is funded by the State of Lower Austria through a direct grant to provide free and confidential support to people in financial distress. To be granted a subsidy, proof of a concrete need is required, and a contract with the State of Lower Austria must be concluded in accordance with § 48 para. 3 NÖ SHG, with the criteria specified in § 48 para. 4 NÖ SHG being met. Only non-profit organizations in the social and counseling sector are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time, as there is no deadline. Over-indebted persons or those at risk of over-indebtedness in Lower Austria benefit from confidential support that, in addition to legal and economic aspects, also includes psychosocial assistance.
