The foundation "Help for Families in Need" of the State of Brandenburg supports expectant mothers residing in Brandenburg who are in an acute financial emergency. As an allocation recipient of the Federal Foundation "Mother and Child – Protection of Unborn Life," it provides earmarked grants to cover expenses related to pregnancy, childbirth, as well as the care and upbringing of the infant. Private applicants can apply for funding in full amount to finance, for example, the initial equipment for the child, child-appropriate housing furnishings, maternity clothing, and baby supplies. Funding is available on an ongoing basis and is paid directly to the applicants by bank transfer.
A prerequisite for a positive grant is proof of financial hardship as well as the exhaustion of all priority statutory and private assistance benefits.
