Description
The initiative "Support for Young Adults" in Carinthia assists non-profit organizations and companies in providing outpatient care and support services for young people between 18 and under 21 years of age. The goal is to build upon previously granted educational assistance and effectively implement the support objectives defined in the assistance plan. Funding is provided for care services with close relatives, foster persons, or in socio-pedagogical institutions when there is an urgent need to achieve the individually set developmental goals. As an ongoing funding opportunity in the form of a grant, the program enables flexible support for young adults and strengthens their independence as well as social participation during the transition to adulthood.
A prerequisite for funding is the main residence or habitual abode in Carinthia, the educational assistance already granted by the 18th birthday, and the explicit consent of the young person. Applications can be submitted at any time from January 1, 2025, onwards and remain open indefinitely. Applicants must submit, in addition to authorization and plan documents, primarily income proofs of the maintenance obligors. Through this clear structure, the program ensures needs-based access to tailored support services that sustainably promote and accompany young adults in their individual development.
