Support Services of the Busch Foundation »Senior Citizens Assistance«

The Busch Foundation Senior Assistance provides free support and relief services in North Rhine-Westphalia for seniors with dementia as well as their caregiving relatives in Solingen. Activity groups and discussion circles invite participants to joint excursions, physical exercises, and stimulating conversations, while the visiting service offers regular personal talks and companionship. Creative and game afternoons promote exchange and activate remaining abilities, and special thematic and training groups provide information on dealing with dementia and caregiving challenges. Through these diverse activities, social interaction is strengthened and the quality of life for all involved is improved.

Eligible to participate are private individuals who either live in Solingen and are affected by dementia themselves or caregiving relatives residing in Solingen. Applications can be submitted at any time, as the support services are continuously available. Funding is provided as a 100% grant and does not require any additional personal contributions. The services are aimed at people seeking relief in everyday life and wishing to establish new contacts in a protected environment. The low-threshold access offers participants and relatives flexible opportunities to easily secure support and draw new strength through exchange with like-minded individuals.
